Dental Bridge in Turkey

A dental bridge is a fixed, non-removable solution for one or more missing teeth — no surgery, no implants, completed in just 5–7 days. At Pro Estetik Dental Clinic in Izmir, bridges are priced from £120 per unit, compared to £700–£1,200 per unit in the UK. Every bridge is designed, fabricated and fitted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Selim Bilgin using CAD/CAM technology for precision fit and natural aesthetics.

Zirconium and E-max bridges at Pro Estetik are indistinguishable from natural teeth — the same materials used by premium clinics in London and Zurich, at a fraction of the cost. Whether you need a single 3-unit bridge or a longer span to replace several adjacent teeth, Dr. Bilgin will assess the most appropriate material and design for your clinical situation.

What Is a Dental Bridge?

A dental bridge is a fixed prosthetic that literally bridges the gap left by one or more missing teeth. It consists of two crowns (called abutment crowns) placed over the teeth on either side of the gap, with one or more artificial teeth (called pontics) suspended between them.

The entire bridge is a single fused unit, permanently cemented in place — unlike a denture it cannot be removed and feels completely natural to eat and speak with. The abutment teeth must be prepared (slightly reduced in size) to accept the crowns, which is carried out under local anaesthesia.

At Pro Estetik, bridges are fabricated using CAD/CAM digital technology in our in-house lab, ensuring an accurate fit and natural appearance. The choice of material — zirconium for strength and durability, or E-max for maximum translucency on anterior (front) teeth — is selected based on the position of the bridge and your aesthetic goals.

Bridge Materials at Pro Estetik

  • Zirconium bridge: The most popular choice. Extremely strong, metal-free and naturally white. Suitable for front and back teeth. From £120 per unit.
  • E-max (lithium disilicate) bridge: The most aesthetic option for front teeth. Ultra-translucent, mimics the light-transmitting properties of natural enamel. Best for 3-unit anterior spans. From £150 per unit.
  • Maryland (adhesive) bridge: A conservative option that does not require crown preparation on adjacent teeth. Wings are bonded to the backs of the neighbouring teeth. Suitable for single-tooth gaps in the front of the mouth with healthy adjacent teeth. From £250.

A bridge is ideal when adjacent teeth already need crowns, or when you want a fast, surgery-free solution. An implant is the gold standard when the surrounding teeth are healthy and long-term bone preservation matters most.

The Dental Bridge Process — Step by Step

Your bridge is designed, fabricated and fitted during a single visit to Izmir, typically completed in 5–7 days.

01

Preparation

Dr. Bilgin administers local anaesthesia and carefully prepares the abutment teeth — reducing them by 1–2 mm on all sides to create room for the bridge crowns. A temporary bridge is placed to protect the prepared teeth while the final bridge is fabricated.

02

Impressions

Precise impressions or a digital intraoral scan are taken of the prepared teeth and bite. Shade selection is made to perfectly match your surrounding natural teeth. These data are sent immediately to our in-house CAD/CAM lab.

03

Lab (CAD/CAM)

Our in-house digital lab mills your bridge from a solid block of zirconium or pressed E-max ceramic using CAD/CAM technology. This typically takes 2–3 days and ensures micron-level precision in fit, shape and occlusion.

04

Fitting

The finished bridge is tried in, checked for fit, aesthetics and bite, then permanently cemented. Any bite adjustments are made in the chair. You leave Izmir with a fully fixed, natural-looking tooth replacement — same day as the fitting appointment.

Types of Dental Bridge

Not all bridges are the same. The appropriate type depends on the number of missing teeth, the condition of adjacent teeth and the position in the mouth.

Traditional Bridge

The most common type. One or more pontics are supported by crowns cemented onto the prepared abutment teeth on each side of the gap. Suitable for back and front teeth. Available in zirconium or E-max. From £350 for a 3-unit span.

Maryland / Adhesive Bridge

A conservative technique using a metal-free resin-bonded framework with wings that attach to the backs of the adjacent teeth — no crown preparation required. Ideal for replacing a single front tooth when the neighbouring teeth are healthy and intact. From £250.

Cantilever Bridge

Supported by a crown on only one abutment tooth rather than two. Used when there is only one healthy tooth adjacent to the gap. Less common due to the higher stress placed on the single abutment, but suitable in specific cases assessed by Dr. Bilgin.

Implant-Supported Bridge

Where multiple adjacent teeth are missing, a bridge can be supported by implants rather than natural teeth. This avoids preparing healthy teeth and preserves jaw bone. Two implants can support a 3–4 unit bridge. From £700 including implants.

Frequently Asked Questions — Dental Bridge in Turkey

A 3-unit zirconium bridge costs from £350 at Pro Estetik in Izmir. A 4-unit bridge starts from £460. E-max bridges start from £450 for a 3-unit span. A Maryland adhesive bridge starts from £250. UK private prices for the same treatment range from £2,000–£3,500 for a 3-unit bridge, meaning you save approximately 80% even after flights and accommodation are factored in.

A dental bridge is completed in 5–7 days at Pro Estetik. Day 1: consultation and X-rays. Day 2: tooth preparation under local anaesthesia and impressions or digital scan, with temporary bridge placed. Days 3–5: CAD/CAM lab fabrication. Day 5–7: permanent bridge fitted and bite adjusted. You fly home with your new fixed bridge already in place.

A well-maintained zirconium bridge typically lasts 10–15 years or longer. E-max bridges have similar longevity. The key to longevity is cleaning under the pontic daily using floss threaders or a water flosser, and attending regular dental check-ups to identify any wear at the crown margins early. With good home care, many patients keep their bridge for 15–20 years.

A dental implant is the gold standard — it replaces the tooth root, preserves jaw bone and does not involve preparing adjacent teeth. However, it requires surgery and two visits over several months. A bridge is faster, surgery-free and lower-cost, and is the better choice when the adjacent teeth already need crowns or when implants are medically unsuitable. Dr. Bilgin will assess your specific situation and give you an honest recommendation during your free consultation.

Tooth preparation for a bridge is carried out under local anaesthesia and is completely painless during the procedure. Mild sensitivity to cold and hot may occur for 2–3 days after preparation — this resolves once the permanent bridge is fitted and the dentine is sealed. Most patients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the entire process is, and are able to eat normally within 24 hours of the final fitting.
